Tarotextravaganza!

I am offering numerous tarot decks which are previously cherished and others new.  Before listing I researched their value online.  Many of the editions offered are out of print and collectible hence some of the higher prices.  The cards and booklets(if present) are in new condition.  Some of the boxes show natural wear and tear.
I am always open to receive  "best offer" if there is one you cannot live without!

Ancient Italian Tarot- Lo Scarabeo 2000

Like the classical tarots, this deck marks the coming of age of Tarot in Italy. The classic design of the Marseilles decks, reinvented by an anonymous artist, exemplifies 19th century Italian art: detailed, symbolic, and richly colored in vibrant greens, muted reds, and vivid golds. Beautifully costumed array of Tarot archetypes are presented here, along with delicately ornamented Marseilles style pips. The card names are in Italian and the numbers of the Major Arcana appear in all four corners and at the center top.

The cards are new. Never used.  The box imagery is different than any one I could find online. It has some wear and tear.  I have taped the bottom to preserve the integrity of the box. Does not have the instruction booklet, unfortunately.

 Ancient Minchiate Etruria Tarot

Minchiate was a popular card game in Florence in the 16th century. In this 97-card deck, we find the traditional Tarot trumps and minors along with additional cards. The Major Arcana includes the seven virtues, the four elements, and the twelve signs of the Zodiac. In this carefully and beautifully reproduced deck nothing is added-it's simply the cards in their original lavish color and design; even the backs of the cards are reproduced from the original 1725 deck. Historically important, symbolically fascinating, and decidedly engaging, Minchiate is enjoying its own renaissance.

HTF OOP 1996 edition printed in Italy and published by LO SCARABEO. Guaranteed to be authentic and original. It was not used for readings but was purchased for study purposes only. The deck has never been shuffled.  The artwork in this deck utilizes a great subtlety of shading, with light brushstrokes, and the colors are the lightest shades of pastels, greens, gold, and very subdued reds.

 Ancient Tarots of Marseille

An important deck for any student, collector, or enthusiast, this reproduction of a historic Marseilles deck conveys a sense of antiquity and mystery. The Ancient Tarots of Marseilles is a reproduction of a deck originally created in 1760 by Nicolas Conver. No additions were made to the cards' original design. Conver's deck contains two unusual details: the Two of Coins contains the artist's name and the year the cards were drawn, and the artist added his name and the word "France" to the Page of Coins.

The cards are new and have not been used.  The cards are not shrink wrapped. The box has very slight wear on the top.

78 Uncolored Tarot Cards

There is a very important reason for leaving the cards uncolored Create your own "keys" when you color your own cards. They can take on the character of your own personality.  You create a link between the cards and yourself. Be aware of attention to color and design Both have esoteric correspondents. It is said as you color the images, the attention you give impresses their patterns upon the cell of the brain

 Olympus Tarot

Tarot cards illustrate the archetypes that are alive in all of us―larger-than-life icons representing different aspects of the universal human experience. Likewise, the Greek gods played a similar role in their day. This natural union of tarot cards and the Greek pantheon is beautifully presented in the Olympus Tarot. Characters and scenes from Theogeny, Jason and the Argonauts, the Iliad and the Odyssey, and other exciting works of Greek mythology find themselves at home in the tarot.

Raimondo, the same artist who created the Tarot of Casanova, exhibits the same elegant skill combined with simpler, bolder compositions.

The companion booklets for most Lo Scarabeo decks are in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.

 Renaissance  Tarot

This edition was published in 1987.  It went out of print for a period and was brought back with a new edition in a new box.

Through the exquisite artwork of Brian Williams, Renaissance Tarot connects traditional tarot symbology to the splendor of European Renaissance culture and classical mythology.

78 cards total.  The 22 Major Arcana cards feature the Olympian deities and demi-gods of antiquity. Card titles are in English and Italian. In the booklet, also by classics scholar Brian Williams, each card description identifies both the Greek and Roman deity as well as his related attributes. For example, the Fool is associated with Dionysus/Bacchus and the Magician with Hermes/Mercury.

The four suits in the Minor Arcana are represented by four classical myth cycles with an interlocking system of planets, constellations, seasons, and elements. Swords relate to Achilles; Staves to Hercules; Cups to Cupid and Pysche; and Coins to Persephone.

The great cities of Renaissance Italy are represented in the court cards. The back design of Renaissance Tarot features a mandala incorporating symbols of the four suits and the four elements. Brian Williams artfully weaves together a rich tapestry of Renaissance imagery.
Boxes show very little wear on corners

The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed Fourth Edition

"The power of the "Alchemical Tarot” lies in its ability to act as a tool for communication with our inner wisdom.”  Beautiful imagery and symbolism.

Robert M. Place is an internationally known mystical artist ("The Buddha Tarot”, "The Tarot of the Saints”, "Vampire Tarot”, and "The Tarot: History, Symbolism and Divination”).

For Robert M. Plant, the deck began with this flash of insight: (a) symbolic images from alchemical texts were interchangeable with the standard Tarot trumps, and (b) the Tarot outlined the same process of mystical transformation as alchemy. The result of eight years of study and work was the "Alchemical Tarot” – the ultimate melding of traditional Tarot imagery and symbolism with that of traditional alchemy. The alchemical symbols magnify the symbolic purpose of the Tarot.

"Each card in The Alchemical Tarot was carefully drawn to capture real alchemical symbols in a way that is clear and concise and in harmony with the aesthetic balance of the composition. They are the natural vehicle of the unconscious and they can be used by any Tarot reader at any level, from beginner to master, in the same way as other decks.

”The renewed edition is a 79 card deck  The box the deck comes in shows the High Priestess on the front The box opens from the top.

The cards themselves are 4.75 by 2.75, of sturdy, glossy cardstock. With transparent colors over antique paper with great attention to detail. The Major Arcana relates to alchemical materials and processes, with the Philosopher’s Stone itself (also known as the Red Stone) represented by the World. The four suits relate to the four elements (Earth, Air, Fire, and Water) and the four Jungian functions of consciousness ( sensation, thinking, feeling, and intuition).

The traditional titles are retained for the Major Arcana. The suits are Coins, Vessels, Swords, and Staffs. The Court Cards are Lady, Knight, Queen and King.

The depth of Scapini's art history expertise is evident in his lush settings and period costumes. Interesting details, and sometimes-humorous references, are cleverly imbedded in the artwork, with many of the cards depicting historical figures, for example, Rasputin as the Knight of Cups. Readers will easily relate to the universal situations revealed in the cards, for pleasurable and insightful readings.
